2024 WSL Qualifying Series Takes Off with Two Stops in the Philippines

By Camille PilarLUZON ISLAND, PHILIPPINES – No longer an underdog in the surfing world, the Philippines gains footing as a prime destination for World Surf League (WSL) events. It will be a coast-to-coast mission as the La Union International Pro kicks off in the West Philippine Sea on January 22-28, 2024 followed by east coast action in the Baler Pro by the Pacific Ocean on February 1-7, 2024.

Wasting no time, Contest Director Luke Landrigan called the competition early, running three Men’s Masters heats on December 7, a day before the contest proper.
